Health and Safety Advisor / Senior Health and Safety Advisor.Below covers everything you need to know about what this opportunity entails, as well as what is expected from applicants.Location: Birmingham Salary: 45,000 to 55,000 plus Car Allowance, Pension and Health Care About the Role Our client, a successful building contractor / developer, are looking to appoint a Health and Safety Advisor to support the delivery of multiple construction projects, with a focus on student accommodation and apartment developments.The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining health and safety standards across active sites and supporting the project teams with compliance and risk management.Key Responsibilities Monitor health and safety performance across construction sites.Conduct site audits, inspections, and risk assessments.Support the development and implementation of site-specific RAMS.Provide health and safety briefings and training to staff and contractors.Investigate incidents and near misses, and follow up on corrective actions.Work closely with project managers and site teams to ensure legal and internal standards are met.Requirements NEBOSH Construction Certificate or equivalent (required).Previous experience in a health and safety role within construction.Solid understanding of CDM Regulations and current HSE legislation.Experience working on residential or student accommodation projects preferred.Strong organisational and communication skills.Full UK driving licence (role will involve site travel).Desirable Membership of IOSH (TechIOSH or above).First Aid at Work certification.Experience with multi-site or high-rise developments.What We Offer Competitive salary and benefits.Support for ongoing professional development.Opportunity to work on a range of residential projects across the midlands region.
