Company Overview: Our company is a leading groundworks specialist operating throughout London and the South East of England.Ready to apply Before you do, make sure to read all the details pertaining to this job in the description below.We have built a strong reputation for delivering high-quality construction projects ranging from 750,000 to 50 million.Our expertise encompasses bulk excavation, infrastructure and civil engineering, groundworks, basements and underground car parks, and concrete frame superstructures.We collaborate closely with clients as integral members of their project teams, offering services and advice to ensure successful project outcomes.Our commitment to quality and safety is at the forefront of every project we undertake Position Overview: As a Senior Estimator, you will play a key role in the development and submission of accurate, competitive, and compliant tenders.You will contribute to winning new work and securing projects that align with the companys growth strategy.The ideal candidate will bring substantial experience in infrastructure or multi-utilities estimating, along with a deep understanding of current market conditions, cost planning, and procurement strategies.Key Responsibilities: Lead the preparation and coordination of cost estimates for complex infrastructure or multi-utility projects.Interpret technical drawings, specifications, and other documentation to prepare comprehensive estimates.Collaborate with the bid team, planners, engineers, and procurement to ensure accurate cost and resource planning.Analyse historical data and market trends to benchmark costs and validate pricing assumptions.Develop and maintain relationships with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain competitive quotations.Support risk management and value engineering processes during tender development.Attend pre-tender meetings, site visits, and client briefings as required.Ensure tender submissions are completed on time and in line with client requirements and company standards.Contribute to post-tender negotiations and handovers to project delivery teams.Required Qualifications and Experience: Minimum 10 years of experience in estimating, preferably in infrastructure (e.g., highways, rail, utilities, civil engineering) or multi-utilities (e.g., gas, water, electric, telecoms) sectors.Strong commercial and contractual acumen.Proficient in estimating software (e.g., Candy, Conquest, Causeway, or similar).Excellent understanding of construction methods, engineering principles, and current market rates.Degree or HNC/HND in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field is preferred.Proven track record in successful tendering for projects ranging from [value] to [value].Strong communication, negotiation, and analytical skills.
