The successful candidates will be responsible for the safe and efficient delivery of goods to various locations. This role requires a strong commitment to customer service and adherence to all driving regulations. As a key member of our logistics team, you will play an essential role in ensuring timely deliveries while maintaining the highest standards of safety.ResponsibilitiesOperate a 7.5 tonne lorry for the delivery of goods to designated locations.Ensure all deliveries are completed on time and in accordance with company policies.Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in safe working condition.Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including any discrepancies or issues encountered during transport.Communicate effectively with dispatch and other team members regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays.Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while driving, ensuring the safety of yourself and others on the road.Assist with loading and unloading goods as required, including handling flatbed deliveries when necessary.RequirementsValid UK driving licence with the appropriate category for 7.5 tonne vehicles.Previous experience as a delivery driver is preferred, particularly with flatbed vehicles.Strong knowledge of commercial driving regulations and road safety practices.Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage time effectively to meet delivery schedules.Good communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective interaction with customers and team members.A commitment to providing exceptional customer service at all times.Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.These roles are on temporary, temporary to permanent and permanent basis.
