Our people-first culture, customer focus, and forward-thinking attitude make us a stand-out employer in the sector.The RoleAs Compliance Manager, you will oversee all internal and external compliance requirements, helping ensure the business meets its legal obligations and internal policies. This is a key role supporting operations across Steadplan's network, requiring a balance of regulatory understanding, process improvement and excellent communication.Main Responsibilities:Design and lead the company-wide compliance strategy across all departmentsManage audits and inspections, identifying risks and areas for improvementMonitor and ensure compliance with industry legislation (e.g. FCA, DVSA, GDPR, H&S)Keep policies and procedures up to date in line with legal requirements and best practiceCollaborate with senior leadership to embed a proactive compliance cultureProvide training, coaching and support to staff on regulatory standardsPrepare reports, maintain accurate records and liaise with external regulators where necessaryWhat We're Looking ForExperience in a compliance-related role, preferably within the automotive or transport sectorKnowledge of FCA and GDPR requirementsExperience conducting internal audits and writing compliance policiesConfident working independently and communicating across multiple departmentsExcellent attention to detail and organisational skillsStrong written and verbal communicationProficient in Microsoft Office and digital reporting systemsDesirableRecognised compliance or legal qualificationUnderstanding of DVSA regulationsExperience working in a commercial vehicle dealership or workshop environmentWhy You Should ApplyCompetitive salary up to 36,000 per annumPrivate healthcare, company pension & life assuranceAnnual bonus & referral schemesCycle-to-work programme & wellbeing portalMondayFriday working hours (8:30am5:00pm)In-house and manufacturer-supported training & developmentA respected, growing company where your ideas and input make a differenceLocation & Working HoursBased at our Nelson office (office-based with occasional travel to other depots as needed)Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 5:00pmClick to ApplyTake the next step in your compliance career with a company that supports your growth and rewards your impact.
