We are looking for a Senior NPI Technologist to join our NPD Team, reporting into NPD Manager.Learn more about the general tasks related to this opportunity below, as well as required skills.As a Senior NPI Technologist based in Bodmin, you will work across various categories and work closely with the relevant Development Managers as well as other stakeholders. You will manage the factory side of the NPD process from technical product handover through to post launch reviews across all areas of the category.You will be responsible for and required to undertake the following duties:Take ownership of the critical path for all products handed over and progressing past Gate 3Document control from factory trials including micro and analytical.Assist the site NPD Manager with the development and implementation of best practice ways of workingManage EPD trial work, proactively suggesting solutions and improvements to the process whilst gaining buy in of the operational, product development and technical teamsManage the factory process development at the site associated with NPD/EPD projects, overseeing or performing factory trials in line with agreed critical pathsOversee the specification and artwork process to launchOversee that all appropriate data from factory trials such as yields, labour inputs, changeovers, amendments are captured for product costings.Manage the agenda for pre-production / launch days ensuring customer expectations are met and wherever possible exceeded.Run & or support with innovation projectsAct as an ambassador' for Pilgrims, ensuring professional conduct, approach and personal presentation at all times.Knowledge, Skills, Experience:Be comfortable within a meat environment comfortable to conduct organoleptic assessments/taste panels of meat products (pork, beef, lamb, and poultry)Excellent Time Management and organisationExperienced and resilient problem-solverKeen eye for detailHACCP and Food Safety / Hygiene knowledgeStrong team playerExcellent IT skills for writing, accessing, analysing and reporting of data.Good working knowledge of excel spreadsheets and formula writing.Proven experience driving an exciting food culture that puts our products at the heart of what we do.Experience/QualificationsDegree in food or relevant qualificationA minimum of 4 years' experience in process (NPI) within chilled food environmentEquivalent transferable experience within Food manufacturingDriving LicenceMeat industry experience an advantageTPBN1_UKTJ
