As they expand their operations, they are seeking a dynamic and experienced Business Development Manager to drive new growth.This new role within the organisation presents a real opportunity for a successful individual to create their own future opportunities in a privately owned business.Key Responsibilities: Client Acquisition: Identify and secure new repeat business opportunities in the freight forwarding sector, for worldwide sea and road freight. Market Expansion: Develop and implement strategic plans to expand our client base and market presence in the targeted regions. Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, partners, and stakeholders to ensure customer satisfaction and loyalty. Industry Expertise: Utilize in-depth knowledge of the freight forwarding industry to provide innovative solutions and insights to clients. Performance Analysis: Monitor and analyze market trends, competitor activities, and sales performance to inform strategic decisions. Reporting: Prepare and present regular reports on sales activities, market conditions, and business development initiatives to senior management.Qualifications: Experience: Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in the freight forwarding industry, with a proven track record in sales and business development. Skills: Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills. Strong analytical and strategic thinking abilities. Knowledge: Deep understanding of logistics, supply chain management, and international shipping regulations.
