You will focus on assessing, supporting, and supervising kinship carers to ensure safe, stable, and nurturing placements for children.This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a child-centred, trauma-informed service that places the welfare and stability of children at the heart of decision-making. You will join a supportive and dynamic team committed to promoting best outcomes for children in family-based care.Key Responsibilities:Undertake kinship fostering assessments (Form C and SGO assessments) in line with national guidance and statutory requirements.Provide ongoing supervision and support to kinship foster carers, ensuring placements are safe and sustainable.Work closely with childrens social workers, legal services, and the fostering panel to progress care planning and permanency arrangements.Attend and contribute to multi-agency meetings, court proceedings, and fostering panel as required.Maintain up-to-date, high-quality case recordings and documentation.Participate in team meetings, supervision, and service development activities.Requirements:Qualified Social Worker with Social Work England registrationProven experience in fostering, particularly in kinship care assessments and supportSound knowledge of fostering regulations, safeguarding, and permanency planningExcellent assessment, analytical, and report-writing skillsAbility to manage a varied caseload independently and meet deadlinesEnhanced DBS clearanceBenefits:Competitive 41 per hour rateHybrid working model 3 days in the office for collaborative work, 2 days remoteSupportive team environment with regular supervisionOpportunity to make a real difference in the lives of children and their carersPlease email your CV to Delanie.heyes@servicecare.org.uk
