They own and operate market leading food waste and crop recycling anaerobic digestion facilities across the UK. As a leading processor of organic waste, they recycles food waste from over 50 local authorities, food manufacturers, brokers, and retailers, converting their food waste into renewable energy. It also operates 30+ solar farms, 6 wind farms and 5 hydroelectric power plants. They are now entering into a new growth phase, particularly in the space of solar and AD, and are looking for a number of talented people to join their team.The RoleAs a Quantity Surveyor, youll play a crucial role in managing the costs, contracts, and financial efficiency of our solar projects. Youll work closely with project managers, contractors, and suppliers to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in compliance with industry regulations.Key Responsibilities:Lead the cost planning, estimating, and budget management for solar energy projects.Prepare, review, and negotiate contracts, tenders, and procurement strategies.Conduct risk assessments and ensure cost control throughout project lifecycles.Monitor and manage project variations, valuations, and financial reporting.Collaborate with engineering, procurement, and construction teams to ensure financial efficiency.Ensure compliance with renewable energy regulations, contract law, and health 'safety standards.Identify opportunities for cost savings and value engineering to enhance project profitability.What Were Looking For:Degree in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, or a related field.Proven experience in quantity surveying within the renewable energy or infrastructure sector, preferable solar.Strong understanding of NEC, JCT, and other standard contracts.Knowledge of solar energy projects and their commercial requirements is desirable.Excellent negotiation, financial analysis, and stakeholder management skills.Ability to work independently and drive commercial success.What We Offer:The opportunity to work on innovative renewable energy projects shaping the future.A competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package.Flexible working arrangements with a mix of site, office, and remote work.Career development and training opportunities in the green energy sector.If youre a commercially driven Quantity Surveyor passionate about renewable energy, wed love to hear from you!
