Our pouch operators set up and operate our pouch making machines that convert our laminated films into pouches to exceed our customer expectations.£25,500 to £35,000 per annum depending on experience + pension + 22 days holiday + shift enhancements.Location Chapel Town, Sheffield, UK.40 hours per week, rotating shift system Monday to Friday, 6am - 2pm, 2pm-10pm, 10pm - 6am.Shift enhancements apply.So who are we? Ensures job is in order prior to machine set-upSets stops or guides to specified length as indicatedObserves machine operation to detect workpiece defects or machine malfunction. Makes corrections to alleviate out of specification productMeasures workpiece dimensions to determine accuracy of machine operationPerforms required quality testing on products produced, i.e. burst test, drop test, water table test, etcPerforms minor machine maintenance such as changing zipper cloth, dies, seal bars and punchesAssists and works cooperatively with assistant machine operators to stack, mark, pack, and transport finished boxesCompletes required documentation accurately and timelyMeets or exceeds prescribed job standard for line speeds, scrap and set-up timesMake recommendations to supervision and management for improvement of production in terms of efficiency and workflowChange rolls and cut out splicesKeep work area cleanEnsure personal compliance with all company Quality System, Operational, and Human Resource policies, procedures, and practices, including Safety and housekeeping proceduresJob Knowledge, Skills & AbilitiesPossess and fosters a positive attitude of learning and respectAbility to understand and follow verbal and written directionsAbility to take ownership of work and also work as part of a teamStrong verbal communications skillsVisual acuity to color consistencyManual coordination and dexterityBe able to work safely around operating machineryAbility to work additional overtime if required to get the job tasks completedExperience And EducationExperience working in a manufacturing environment preferredBasic knowledge of flexible packaging films a plusPowered by JazzHRoUowOnOv3D
