Job summary Assistant Director of Estates An Assistant Director of Estates is required by one of the largest NHS Trusts in the United Kingdom. This specifically critical role, within the senior leadership team of the division, must work working closely with the clinical management teams and other senior managers across the Trust to ensure the compliant, effective, and efficient delivery of Hard FM services. This service, to clinical users and patients is supported by safe and environmentally friendly in-house Soft FM services. You will be expected to drive change and improvement by influencing teams and working in partnership across both the Division, the wider Trust, and external partners to support our daily divisional operational response for compliance, governance, and patient focused services. A beneficial familiarity of maintaining a large campus with an engineering and building services background, your expertise will lead our multidisciplinary team in a range of vital works from state-of-the-art new builds to historic buildings. Main duties of the job Effectively manage staff, and contractors in delivering a Compliant, safe working environment in accordance with Healthcare Industry Standards Ensure compliance with national guidelines and statutory regulations applicable to services within the Directorate Responsibility for the operational delivery of assigned Operational Estates and Facilities Services including the development of efficient and effective systems, policies and procedures Manage a complex range of information on the Trust's estate, facilities and capital. The post holder will be required to assess and analyse the conflicting demands of these areas and prioritise according to objective criteria, including external sources of expertise and information You will be a role model for staff and colleagues and exemplify the values and behaviours of the Trust in setting the highest expectations and developing a strong customer focus for every member of the team to aspire to.
