Main Purpose of the Area Sales Manager:The main purpose of this role is to promote and sell the range of machinery and products within the dealership territory to new and existing customers. This is a customer facing role which requires you to build strong relationships within the construction sales sector of the business. You will need to promote and present solutions to our customers and frequently liaise with the company to ensure you provide a first-class level of customer service. Main Responsibilities of the Area Sales Manager:Build strong and positive relationships with the customer baseBuild and document knowledge about customers’ businesses and technical setupFeedback any important customer information to the CompanyPrepare customer quotations for machinery via the software system/ Salesmaster iPad Application and include additional options for: Service / R & M ContractsAttachments suitable to the application & machineFinanceInsuranceTo carry out full appraisals on used equipmentComplete full machine specifications to meet the customer requirements on all orders, including all relevant customer informationTo include any machine Attachment requirements to meet the customers’ needsCarry out on-site machine demonstrations and installationsIncrease the company’s construction sales and profitability in line with objectivesResponsible for the monitoring of customer account facility status and collection of paymentsUpdate the CRM system to enable accurate forecastingTo meet and exceed customer service expectationsEstablish and maintain good levels of communication within and outside the businessComplete all administration accurately and in a timely mannerContribute to the overall success through teamwork and good communication within the companyAppropriate reporting to managementCarry out all work practices in line with company health and safety policy and adhere to all company policies in accordance with the Company handbook terms and conditions of employmentAny other duties as deemed necessary to fulfil the role Work experience requirements of the Area Sales Manager:Proven track record of sales within the Material Handling sector or similar industryExcellent commercial awareness and customer problem solvingAbility to follow your customer’s buying decisions and needsProven track record of customer sales call planning and forecastingSkilled in sales questioning for successful outcomesProven track record of consultative selling techniquesGood team work capable of delivering results under pressure and to strict deadlinesQuality focusedSincere, reliable, trustworthy and a good time keeperAbility to work on own initiative, multitask and handle several customer demands at any given momentAdept in efficient communication at all levels – verbally, in print and on the telephoneProfessional, positive, co-operative and flexible at all timesAbility to be motivated and customer focusedClean driving licence and good driving recordFull driving Fork Lift Truck driving licence - desirable ADR Specialists Ltd are an equal opportunity employer and operate as an Employment Business and Recruitment Agency.
