The Opportunity: Are you a skilled forestry professional with a passion for sustainable woodland creation and strong leadership abilities?We are looking for a passionate and experienced Forest and Woodlands Creation Manager to drive the planning, development, and implementation of forestry and woodland projects across the regions of Aberdeenshire, Angus and Perthshire. In this hybrid, client-facing role, you will take the lead in managing a growing portfolio of clients, overseeing all aspects of forestry management, woodland creation, and the development of FSG applications. With a strong background in forestry and exceptional leadership skills, you will have a key role in building lasting client relationships and fostering a collaborative team environment. Role Responsibilities:To lead the planning, development, and sustainable management of woodlands and forestsTo oversee forest and woodland operations on behalf of the client, to agree standards and budgetTo develop and maintain strong client relationships, providing advice and business supportTo manage and secure any grant funding and applications for clients and ensure full compliance with industry standards To lead a small team with a proactive approach and supervise third-party contractorsTo work collaboratively with the wider team, supporting business needs and identifying new business opportunitiesSkills you will need:Essential:A minimum of 5 years' proven experience in a forestry management roleGood forestry knowledge and experience of UK forestry standards, applications, and the FGS scheme Strong leadership skills An excellent communicator, able to build and maintain business relationshipsHighly organised, able to prioritise workloads to meet deadlinesStrong commercial acumenA versatile team player, able to work both independently and collaborativelyProfessional and dedicated to the sectorProficient IT skills and use of GIS software packagesUK driving licenseRemuneration: A competitive salary and benefits package including company car for the successful candidate.
