Our team supports everything from state-of-the-art productions to heritage preservation, ensuring our venue remains world-class in every sense.The RoleWe are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical and Electrical Services Manager to ensure the smooth, safe, and efficient operation of all technical building systems within our landmark venue. This is a hands-on, strategic role requiring deep technical expertise and a collaborative mindset.You'll oversee a wide range of critical infrastructurefrom HVAC to electrical and plumbing systemsand play a key role in maintaining the standards that underpin world-class performances and events.Key Responsibilities1. Technical Systems ManagementOversee all M&E systems including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical assetsMaintain continuous system availability and ensure optimal operational performanceDevelop and share knowledge of the venues Building Management Systems (BMS)2. Compliance and SafetyConduct regular inspections and audits to ensure regulatory complianceMaintain accurate safety and maintenance recordsImplement permit-to-work systems and enforce health & safety protocols3. Maintenance PlanningDevelop and manage an asset registerPlan and execute a robust Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) programmeManage inventory and liaise with contractors and service providers4. Team CoordinationAllocate work and ensure tasks are completed to a high standardIdentify and address training needs for operational support staffChampion a safety-first culture within the team5. Operational Support & CommunicationProvide technical reports and insights to senior managementAssist in the development of budgets and special projectsSupport other departments with technical guidance as neededWhat Were Looking ForQualifications & ExperienceProven experience managing M&E systems in complex buildings essentialRecognised mechanical or electrical qualifications essentialExperience leading technical teams essentialExperience in an events, hospitality, or cultural venue desirableSkills & AttributesAdvanced technical and problem-solving abilitiesStrong knowledge of health and safety legislationExcellent interpersonal and communication skillsCapable of working both independently and as part of a teamCalm under pressure, adaptable, and proactive in approachPersonal QualitiesHighly organised with excellent attention to detailTrustworthy, punctual, and committed to qualityWillingness to participate in emergency call-outs and business recovery planningAbility to deputise for the Building Services Manager when neededBenefits 10% Pension contribution (when employee puts in 5%) Free Food 12 Event tickets per year and discounted bar Ability to buy and sell leave Training budget
