Role: HR Coordinator Making sure you fit the guidelines as an applicant for this role is essential, please read the below carefully.Department: HR Location: Chorley Reporting to: Head of HR Shared Services Hours of work: Standard Contract type: 12 month FTC, maternity cover Purpose:Reporting to the Head of HR Shared Services the incumbent will provide generalist HR administrative support to the HR Team and wider business.Main Duties & Responsibilities:OperationalMaintaining the HR Databases and systems with accurate and up to date information. Effective management of the HR mailbox, ensuring all colleague queries are dealt with in a timely manner referring queries on to the team when needed. Processing new starter onboarding paperwork, including employment contracts and uploading new starters to our HR Systems. Processing employment contract changes. Processing leavers accurately and in a timely manner. Providing first line advice and guidance on HR queries. Administration of Long Service and Recognition awards.Producing references for former employees. Ensure compliance with data protection regulations. Other Administration duties as required. Coordination of events and room bookings as required. Support in the administration of employee benefits.Financial Assist with benefit enrolment, changes and inquiries. Support on the approval and processing of expenses. Ensuring a high level of accuracy and timely processing of leavers, new starters and other administrative duties that impact payroll to avoid under/overpayments. Support payroll with queries related to pay, overpayments, underpayments and other similar issues.Customer The job holder recognizes the role teamwork has in the Companys success and contributes to this through displaying enthusiasm, co-operation, and flexibility; treating others the way they would wish to be treated themselves. Contribute to the development of internal HR resources and guides.Support in the production of HR Data and MI. Assist in the production of org charts, ensuring they are accurate and up to date. Supporting on management upskilling and coaching managers on self-service. Supporting in meetings on ER cases as required. Supporting in the administration of change projects. Maintaining letter templates. Sending HR Communications as required.PeopleResponding to queries about HR policies, procedures and other general information. Supporting employees with system queries including access and navigation.Providing first line advice and guidance on ER related matters and referring complex cases to the ER Advisor. Supporting in the maintenance and creation of materials for the HR Hub SharePoint.Assisting with HRSS and wider HR projects including TUPE, System Build and HR Strategy as required.Knowledge, Skills, Qualifications and Experience: Strong IT skills - A working knowledge of HR & Payroll systems / databases; working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel Experience of working within a fast-paced environment Clear communication skills both telephone and email Ability to work on own initiative and prioritise Attention to detail Good literacy / numeracy skillsExperience in working to service targets Ability to handle sensitive issues in a discreet and professional mannerDemonstrate the ability to follow process and procedures Relevant HR Qualification and CIPD membership preferred but not essential Tact and discretion when dealing with confidential informationIn return for your hard work, we offer excellent career progression opportunities and a professional environment where you can acquire, use, and continue developing your skills.
