As we continue our journey of growth and expansion to serve the new era of nuclear energy, Boccard, as a leading specialist in engineering, manufacturing, construction and maintenance in the nuclear energy industry, are looking for an experienced Facilities Manager to join our team here at Boccard.Not sure what skills you will need for this opportunity Simply read the full description below to get a complete picture of candidate requirements.The Facilities Manager will report to the Manufacturing Manager and will oversee all building related activities at Boccards UK Manufacturing site, ensuring compliance, efficiency, preserving the good condition of the infrastructure and ensure that facilities are safe and well functioning.Based at UK Manufacturing facility in Deeside, the Facilities Manager responsibilities will include:Supervising and negotiating contracts with service providers for facilities such as security, parking, cleaning and technologyEnsure essential amenities, such as water and heating, are in orderEnsure the standards of the manufacturing facility are in line with government regulationsEnsure the facilities meet environmental, health and safety standardsSupervise new building projects, managing facility renovations and refurbishmentsInspect buildings structure to determine the need for repairs and renovationsPrepare and review service charge budgets, ensuring all necessary works are considered for the upcoming yearEnd-of-year service charge reportingPerform routine property inspections and complete detailed reportsMonitor and resolve risk assessments within designated timeframesKeeping up to date with Health & Safety legislation and sector specific requirements.Candidates must demonstrate:Proven experience as facilities manager or relevant experienceKnowledge of technical/engineering operations and facilities management best practicesExcellent organisational and leadership skillsExcellent verbal and written communication skillsUnderstanding of health and safety compliance systemSkills and qualificationHold a relevant professional qualification (e.g. CFM) is desirableKnowledge of MS Pack Office (especially Excel)Applicants must be eligible to work in the UK.
