They thrive on new challenges and creating cost-effective solutions.About the Role:The Contracts Manager is responsible for the delivery of multiple projects on time, within the budget and to high standards. They will work in close collaboration with the Managing Director, Estimator, QS and Buyer to manage projects from award through to completion. The Contracts Manager will ensure that, from concept to completion, the pre-development and construction process is managed effectively, efficiently and safely. Responsibilities: Pre-construction: Attend Estimating Handovers Pre-planning of projects to ensure adequate resourcingClient liaisonAppoint designers, review and approve drawingsProduce RFI schedules;Agree prices with subcontract labour Produce construction methodologies and tender programmesProfit plan review with the QSComplete material and plant requisitions for purchasing Ensure material orders are placed in a timely manner to allow construction programme to be achievedComplete RAMS and submit to the client Construction: Coordinate and manage site labourQuality control Client liaison Ensure Health, Safety and Environmental excellenceProduce and track construction programmesProduce and submit information required schedulesCoordinate and manage subcontractors Work closely with the HBMS QS to manage costs and change control Review labour, plant and material forecasts with the QSEnsure snagging and defects are closed out in a timely mannerAbout the candidate:Relevant experience of roofing & cladding contracts/project management/site managementKnowledge and understanding of relevant regulationsExperience in a customer facing role, with an ability to build client relationshipsKnowledge and understanding of Health and Safety and Environmental safety requirementsComputer literate with good knowledge of the Microsoft Office packages;Site Managers Safety Training Scheme (SMSTS) preferable Construction Skills Certification Scheme (CSCS) Asbestos Awareness preferable IPAF preferableFull clean Driving licence;NVQ level 6 or equivalent in construction or a related discipline preferable but not essential
