Welding Inspector Barnoldswick 16.81 to 17.86 per hour Monday-Friday 7am-3:45pm (early finish Friday) My client who are a leading manufacturer within their field is seeking an experienced Quality Inspector / Certification technician to join their team due to continued growth and expansions. Welding Inspector Requirements: Time served through a recognised welding and fabrication apprenticeship with a strong track record working within an engineering background; Previous experience of inspection; Inspection qualifications such as PCN Level 2/CSWIP 3.1 Welding Inspector and PCN Level 2 in Penetrant inspector Ability to read and accurately interpret engineering drawings; Experience of working with stainless steel and mild steel components; Proven ability to manage time effectively and working to tight targets and deadlines; Welding Inspector Duties: Perform high-quality welding and fabrication tasks in line with industry standards, drawing on experience gained through a recognised apprenticeship and engineering background. Conduct detailed inspections of fabricated components, using knowledge of industry inspection standards and qualifications such as PCN Level 2, CSWIP 3.1 Welding Inspector, and PCN Level 2 Penetrant Testing. Accurately interpret and work from complex engineering drawings to ensure components meet precise specifications and tolerances. Handle and fabricate components using stainless steel and mild steel materials, ensuring all work meets required structural and aesthetic standards. Manage time effectively to meet tight production schedules and project deadlines without compromising on quality. Maintain a high level of organisation, focus, and attention to detail in all aspects of work to support the company's commitment to precision and excellence. Utilise strong numeracy and literacy skills for measurement, documentation, and reporting tasks, as well as clear communication with team members and supervisors. Participate in ongoing training and development, including attendance at academic courses, to stay updated with industry practices and standards. Strong organisational skills with a good level of concentration; Good eye for detail; Excellent numeracy, literacy skills & communication skills; A willingness to attend academic training courses.
