Avionics Mechanic – Birmingham | Full Time | No Travel RequiredLocation: Birmingham, UKContract Type: PermanentTARCG is proud to be recruiting on behalf of a leading name in aviation engineering, for the position of Avionics Mechanic. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a highly respected engineering team within a cutting-edge aviation environment.This full-time, site-based role is perfect for a detail-oriented professional with a strong background in aircraft modification and maintenance, looking to develop their career in a stable and supportive setting.Key Responsibilities:The successful candidate will report to the Avionics Lead and be responsible for carrying out aircraft modifications and maintenance in accordance with approved drawings and technical data. All work must meet the highest standards of safety and technical compliance.Duties include but are not limited to:Precise wiring terminations and loom manufacturingTesting and troubleshooting of avionics systemsRemoval and installation of aircraft panels, shelves, and componentsInterpreting technical manuals, schematics, and regulatory documentationSupporting system validation and fault diagnosticsMaintaining excellent tool control and a clean, safe work environmentProactively reporting issues and contributing to continuous improvement initiativesRequirements:Skills & Experience:Completed an engineering apprenticeship (preferably in Aeronautical Engineering) or equivalent military backgroundProven experience in aircraft modification; production experience advantageousStrong working knowledge of avionics systemsExcellent hand skills and attention to detailEligible to live and work in the UKMust be able to meet the requirements for UK security vettingReliable, adaptable, and a strong team playerTraining & Compliance:The successful candidate will be required to have or complete the following Part-145 training modules:Initial and continuation Human Factors trainingSFAR Phase 1 & 2 (initial and continuation)EWIS Group 1 & 2 (including Group 1 Module G Practical)ETOPSRVSMIf you meet the above requirements and would like to be considered for this role, please send your updated resume to Vicki Senner at vicki@ TARCG is acting as an employment business in relation to this vacancy.
