Assistant Accountant | FMCG Industry | 3 days in office (London)All potential applicants are encouraged to scroll through and read the complete job description before applying.A high-growth, sustainability-focused business in the FMCG industry thats making serious waves across Europe are looking for an Assistant Financial Analyst or Assistant Accountant to join their growing finance team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who wants real ownership, end-to-end responsibility, and exposure to a fast-paced, mission-led environment.This role offers more than just transactional finance. You'll get involved in retail accounting, help shape process improvements, and gain exposure to analysis and elements of business partnering as part of a supportive and ambitious team.Key Responsibilities:Take full ownership of end-to-end retail accounting, supporting a rapidly scaling retail operationAssist with month-end processes, producing accurate and timely balance sheet reconciliationsIdentify and implement efficiency improvements across processes and reportingAct as a key finance contact for the retail team, providing support and clarity in day-to-day communicationManage accounts receivable raising invoices to retailers and ensuring timely receipt of discount invoicesLiaise closely with the operations team to resolve queries and challenge discrepancies raised by retailersPost and reconcile bank transactions, investigating and resolving any unreconciled itemsWhat They're Looking For:Experience within a fast-moving finance function FMCG experience is highly desirableProactive mindset with confidence in owning and improving finance processesKnowledge of Xero and Google Suite is a bonusIdeally AAT-qualified, but candidates with strong experience will also be consideredExcellent communicator, highly organised, and a team playerEnthusiasm for working in a values-led, sustainability-driven business
