Domestic Abuse Housing Manager Below covers everything you need to know about what this opportunity entails, as well as what is expected from applicants.Location: Central and West London (Hybrid working arrangements available)Contract: Full-time, PermanentSalary: Competitive, dependent on experienceAbout the RoleOur client, a leading organisation in the womens sector, is seeking a skilled and experienced VAWG Manager to lead its dedicated domestic abuse and gender-based violence services across Central and West London. This is an exceptional opportunity to join a purpose-led team delivering trauma-informed, high-quality support to women experiencing violence and abuse.As VAWG Manager, you will play a central role in ensuring that frontline services are consistently responsive, empowering, and safe. You will be responsible for managing a multidisciplinary team of professionals including IDVAs, caseworkers, and project staffensuring delivery is aligned with national quality standards and centred on the voices and needs of the women supported.Key ResponsibilitiesService and Team LeadershipLead, develop and support a diverse team of frontline practitioners, ensuring high performance and service continuity.Deliver supervision, annual appraisals, and day-to-day guidance to ensure wellbeing, motivation, and adherence to best practice.Create and maintain a collaborative, inclusive team culture that is values-led, trauma-informed, and grounded in safeguarding.Performance and Quality ManagementOversee all aspects of case management, including needs and risk assessments, safety planning, and advocacy.Monitor performance against key contractual outcomes and national frameworks such as Womens Aid and SafeLives Leading Lights.Take proactive steps to address under-performance and identify training and development needs within the team.Support the re-accreditation and continuous improvement of the service through internal reviews and evidence-based practice.Service Development and DeliveryDevelop and implement operational systems, processes and tools to improve service delivery and impact.Contribute to budget planning, resource allocation and financial oversight alongside senior management.Identify service delivery gaps and work collaboratively to enhance provision and secure funding for new initiatives.Partnerships and Stakeholder EngagementAct as the main operational contact for commissioners, subcontracted partners, and key agencies.Represent the service in multi-agency forums and strategic meetings to promote an integrated, system-wide approach to tackling VAWG.Strengthen referral pathways and institutional advocacy networks to ensure a joined-up response to womens needs.Champion the voices of survivors in all areas of development, consultation, and advocacy.About YouEssential Knowledge and Experience:In-depth understanding of domestic abuse, VAWG, and the broader social, cultural, and legal context.Significant experience of managing frontline services within the womens sector or VAWG-related context.Sound knowledge of safeguarding legislation, MARAC processes, and risk management frameworks.Demonstrated success in managing dispersed or remote teams with strong supervisory and coaching capabilities.Proven ability to build multi-agency relationships and work collaboratively to influence system change.Experience in monitoring and evaluating services, including report writing, data analysis and contract compliance.Skills and Attributes:Skilled communicator with the ability to engage effectively with professionals, staff, and service users alike.Strategic thinker with a solutions-focused mindset and excellent decision-making skills.Strong organisational and time management skills, able to prioritise competing demands and lead through change.Ability to develop and deliver training, systems and procedures to enhance service delivery.Committed to intersectional feminist principles and equality, diversity and inclusion.Desirable:A relevant qualification in management, social work, law or a related fieldor substantial equivalent experience.Experience of delivering presentations or workshops in professional or public settings.Experience in service accreditation, quality assurance frameworks, or specialist programme development.To apply or for an informal discussion about the role, please contact Oliver.Jefferson@servicecare.org.uk
