You will be primarily responsible for producing reporting and budgets, whilst overseeing and supporting the purchase and sales ledger functions.The company is presently supported for monthly reporting and strategic advice by a specialist accounting partner and a fractional CFO, offering the ability to learn from highly skilled professional experts.Key responsibilities include, though are not limited to:Management Accounting:Production of monthly accounts on an accrual basis for presentation and review with senior managementPreparation of an annual Budget and forecasts, including proficiency in constructing and maintaining simple financial modelsProducing and submitting quarterly VAT returnsReconciling the balance sheet and trial balance for the production of year end accountsOversee payroll with the companys HR consultant and 3rd party payroll bureauLiaising with an external accountant for the filing of statutory accounts and auditReview and adapt accounts procedures to unlock efficiencies and build an innovative culture in the finance teamFinancial Record Keeping:Financial transaction entry across the accounts and maintenance of correct information between Xero and the companys CRM databaseStewardship of the companys bank accounts and treasury processes to deliver secure, efficient and accurate banking functionsTimely bank reconciliations and actioning of regular payment flowsProcessing of FX and calculating margins based on exchange ratesTeam Management:Manage a team of 2, providing training and support to ensure effective AR/AP functions:Responding to the finance queries and providing timely solutions, both to internal customer-facing account managers, clients directly, and other stakeholdersMaintaining strong relationships with the rest of the team to provide an excellent service to JLA and its client baseKey Requirement:Excellent communication skills and the ability to liaise confidently with clientsAble to get up to speed rapidly and confident to manage and deliver changeExperience with Xero, Salesforce and the Microsoft Office suite (especially Excel)High degree of proactivity in sourcing and recommending improvements to the companys systems or processesAn ability to pick up new IT systems quicklyKnowledgeable enough of certain non-core business functions (ie.
