Electrical Design Engineer - The Role: Design electrical systems for all projects where required. This includes electrical schematics, cable schedules, BOMs, control panel layouts and cable management Utilise electrical design software (EPLAN) to create 2D/3D models, circuit diagrams and any applicable calculations that may be required Select appropriate components, materials and technologies to ensure efficiency and compliance Create control panel and general arrangement drawings, equipment IDs, and cable/core identification labels Attend client sites when required to develop URS / FDS Coordinate with manufacturing and production teams to ensure design feasibility and ease of implementation Prepare and maintain design documentation and specifications Create site layout drawings showing equipment and cable routes Manage all required materials, scheduling and workshop builds most efficiently and economically Troubleshoot design issues and optimise electrical designs for performance, safety, and efficiency Ensure all designs meet industry standards, regulatory requirements, and company safety policies Electrical Design Engineer - The Person: Education: HNC/D in Electrical Engineering (desirable). Technical Skills: Proficiency in Electrical Design CAD software (EPLAN essential). Knowledge : Understanding electrical systems, components, and standards BS7671, BS 60204, BS 61439 Soft Skills: Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment Benefits Include: Ability to work from home.
