This role involves managing day-to-day financial transactions, producing management and statutory reports, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. You will work closely with internal teams and external partners to maintain accurate financial records, support budgeting and forecasting, and contribute to the smooth running of the finance function. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and a proactive approach to problem-solving in a dynamic manufacturing environment.ResponsibilitiesOverseeing accurate data entry of all financial transactions in SageAssisting with the production of monthly KPIs, Management Accounts, and statutory reportsLiaising with external accountants to ensure statutory compliance and supporting payroll processing when neededManaging VAT returns, including UK, EC, and international reclaimsAssisting with enquiries from customers and suppliers as requiredCalculating sales bonuses in accordance with agreed termsSetting up payments in the banking system following authorisation proceduresEnsuring timely supplier payments to maintain supply continuity while safeguarding company interestsReviewing and approving expense claims to ensure compliance with company policyConducting inductions for new staff on basic financial functions and requirementsMonitoring and reporting cash receipts and assisting with bank liaisonMaintaining hard copy records of all financial transactionsSupporting budgeting and forecasting processesProducing reports and monitoring spend against budgetsProviding ad-hoc support with sales, cost, and finance data for managementAssisting with general office management requirements as neededQualificationsACCA, CIMA, ACA qualifiedExperience processing payrollRequired SkillsStrong communication and interpersonal skillsSage 50 Accounts essential; Salesforce experience advantageousPreferred SkillsExperience processing payrollPay range and compensation package55k-65kEqual Opportunity StatementWe are committed to diversity and inclusivity in our hiring practices.EligibilityCandidates must be eligible to live and work in the UK to apply.
