Guided by Christian principles, we provide a nurturing environment where children aged 6 months to 5 years are encouraged to grow, learn, and develop. Our recent Ofsted inspection rated us as 'Good', highlighting our commitment to high standards in care and education.Position Overview:We are seeking two dedicated professionals to join our leadership team:Nursery Manager To lead and oversee the daily operations of the nursery, ensuring high standards of care and education.Assistant Nursery Manager To support the Nursery Manager in the day-to-day running of the nursery and to take on leadership responsibilities in their absence.Key Responsibilities:For both positions:Ensure the nursery operates in compliance with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework and Ofsted requirements.Lead and manage a team of early years practitioners, providing guidance and support.Develop and implement a curriculum that promotes children's learning and development.Establish and maintain positive relationships with children, parents, and staff.Monitor and assess children's progress, ensuring individual needs are met.Promote a safe and inclusive environment, adhering to safeguarding policies and procedures.Additional responsibilities for the Nursery Manager:Oversee the daily operations of the nursery, including staffing, budgeting, and resource management.Ensure the nursery environment is stimulating, safe, and well-maintained.Lead the nursery team in continuous professional development and performance management.Liaise with external agencies, including Ofsted and local authorities.Additional responsibilities for the Assistant Nursery Manager:Support the Nursery Manager in all aspects of nursery management.Take on leadership responsibilities in the absence of the Nursery Manager.Assist in the development and implementation of policies and procedures.Qualifications & Experience:Minimum Level 3 qualification in Early Years Education or equivalent.For the Nursery Manager position, a Level 5 qualification in Leadership and Management is desirable.Previous experience in a leadership role within an early years setting.Strong knowledge of the EYFS framework and Ofsted standards.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.Benefits:Competitive salary.Ongoing professional development opportunities.Supportive and inclusive working environment.Access to a range of resources and facilities to enhance teaching and learning.How to Apply:Interested candidates are invited to submit their CV and a cover letter outlining their suitability for the role to:Email: h.roberts@carmena.co.ukPhone: 020 8677 8231Website: www.carmena.co.ukCarmena Christian Day Nursery is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and expects all staff to share this commitment.
