Job Title: Mechanical FitterIs this your next job Read the full description below to find out, and do not hesitate to make an application.Contract Role 3 Months RollingLocation: Acton, West LondonHourly Rate: 39.24 p/hour - Inside IR35Working Hours: Day Shift About the Role:We are currently recruiting experienced Mechanical Fitters to work on a significant project at a renowned railway engineering facility in Acton, West London. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of the S Stock upgrade works in the rail industry. The role offers a competitive hourly rate of 39.24 and a chance to work on high-profile projects within the rail sector.Key Responsibilities:Reading and following detailed work instructions and component assembly drawingsUsing a variety of hand tools, bearing press, and power toolsSetting and using a Torque Wrench, including witness markingOperating overhead cranes and workshop equipment (training will be provided)Using basic measuring tools, including Vernier calipers, micrometers, and rulersMaintaining complex systems and machinery to the highest standardsRequirements: Level 3 Mechanical qualification (or equivalent)Strong experience in using hand tools, bearing press, and power toolsAbility to read and follow technical drawings and work instructionsExperience with torque wrenches and understanding of witness marking principlesAbility to use basic measuring tools accuratelyPrevious experience in the rail industry or similar sectors is desirable but not essentialWe can only consider applications from those eligible to work in the UK for this role.For more information on this position, please contact Marika Powell at ARM on 02392 228213 or email your CV and covering letter to marika.powell@arm.co.uk
