A newly formed function needs a vision.If you are interested in applying for this job, please make sure you meet the following requirements as listed below.Be the person to create and embed that vision, whilst bringing a humble, holistic, and consistent approach to leading and managing this new function, as we bring our Procurement, Supply Chain and Commercial together into one new team.Note: this is a hybrid role with 2-3 days expected in our Head Office in Abingdon, OxonA complete review of current suppliers to ensure our agreements are fit for purpose, will likely be followed by embedding processes and governance to ensure future suppliers are identified, negotiated, onboarded, and managed in a timely and robust manner.With a current spend of circa 100m per annum (1billion+ invested in the largest rural only network in the UK) across a variety of categories, from IT procurement to Network Infrastructure build, we would love to hear how you have put in place strategies and led teams of a similar scale to reduce costs and add value.Ideally also where you have taken a young and expanding function and turned it into a well-oiled machine that provides and is recognised by your peers as providing a best-in-class service.With exposure to the Board and Executive Leadership, presenting business cases to this level will be second nature, as will being able to sensitively challenge and question decision making from those around and above you.We are looking for MCIPS, are open to previous sector and industries but would like to see similar scale.
