Comprehensive training is provided. Previous experience in laboratory work and automated liquid handling systems is advantageous.RESPONSIBILITIESProvide quality service to all customersCommunicate professionally and effectively with customers and colleaguesMaintain and develop customer relationsResponds promptly and professionally to all customer inquiriesWorking with customer service and sales teams to meet service targetsPerform preventative maintenance and emergency repairsResponsible for diagnosing problems, if any, and determining necessary repairsRead and interpret technical diagramsEnsures conformance with established calibration and repair standardsAttend regular training to maintain professional and technical knowledgeFollow prescribed safety procedures when handling equipment and hazardous materialsMaintain accurate records and reportsOccasionally assists Gilson Sales Representatives with equipment demonstration at customer sitesSKILLS OR KNOWLEDGEAbility to read and follow instructions as posted.Strong communication and customer service skills to interact effectively with customers.Mechanically inclined.Strong computer skills, including proficiency in relevant softwareAbility to manage a busy schedule with relative independence.PHYSICAL ABILITYRequires good or corrected vision.Good manual dexterity.Ability to lift 25kgOTHERFull UK driving licence and willingness to travel regularly within the region, overnight stays may be required (up to 50%)Experience working in a laboratory setting beneficialExcellent command of the English language, both written and verbalAbility to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in the fieldAbility to acquire new skills and to accommodate change in the workplace.
