This is an exciting opportunity to take the lead on managing a portfolio of high-value and/or complex Court of Protection cases, as well as supervising and mentoring a small team.While professional experience and qualifications are key for this role, make sure to check you have the preferable soft skills before applying if required.Youll contribute to business growth through client development and strategic leadership, ensuring the team continues to deliver an exceptional client experience.Key ResponsibilitiesManage a varied and complex caseload involving Court of Protection matters, particularly high-value cases. Lead and supervise a small team including coaching, mentoring, performance management and supporting professional development. Handle complex applications including property and affairs, deputyship, statutory wills, and trust-related matters. Support and work closely with the Partner in business development and marketing initiatives to grow the teams client base. Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, referrers, and internal stakeholders. Provide technically excellent advice and service with a keen attention to detail and a pragmatic, client-focused approach. Keep abreast of legal and regulatory developments within Court of Protection law.About YouWe are seeking a motivated, personable, and strategic individual with a real passion for Court of Protection work. Youll be a natural problem-solver who thrives in a fast-paced, intellectually stimulating environment and who values collaborative leadership.Essential Requirements:Qualified solicitor or legal executive (CILEX or SRA route). Proven experience handling Court of Protection property and affairs work. Demonstrable leadership skills, with experience supervising or mentoring junior team members. Business development mindset and confidence in growing and maintaining client and referrer relationships. Strong technical legal skills with a commitment to high-quality service delivery.
