Operating from multiple UK locations, our key hubs are based in Esh Winning (Durham) and Great Heck (Selby).The OpportunityWe are seeking a proactive and experienced SHE & Compliance Manager to lead our safety, health, environmental, and compliance functions. This is a pivotal role ensuring our operations meet all legislative and regulatory requirements while promoting a culture of safety and continuous improvement.Key ResponsibilitiesHealth, Safety & Environmental (SHE):Develop and maintain SHE policies and proceduresConduct risk assessments and accident/incident investigationsManage the Integrated Management System (IMS)Liaise with the DGSA and promote SHE awareness across the businessDeliver Toolbox Talks and internal auditsOversee PPE stock and distributionSupport SHE requirements for new business implementationCompliance & Operator Licensing:Ensure compliance with Operator Licence regulationsConduct vehicle maintenance and driver defect auditsManage tachograph analysis and driver trainingMaintain FORS accreditation and lead compliance reportingAttend and contribute to operational meetingsWhat Were Looking ForEssential:NEBOSH or equivalent qualificationStrong understanding of logistics compliance and safety standardsExcellent IT and data analysis skillsConfident decision-maker with strong leadership and communication abilitiesFull UK driving licenceDesirable:CPC (National/International Road Haulage)DGSA certificationFORS Practitioner Certificate
