Senior Finance AssistantLocation: South ManchesterSalary: circa 28,000- 35,000 DOEThe following information provides an overview of the skills, qualities, and qualifications needed for this role.Were currently recruiting for a highly motivated and proactive Senior Finance Assistant to join a well-established and growing organisation based in South Manchester. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with strong transactional finance experience, ideally within an SME, who is looking to take the next step in their career.The role offers excellent progression opportunities to gain exposure to the production of management accounts and full study support for AAT, CIMA or ACCA qualifications. Youll play a key part in supporting the finance function, gaining exposure to month-end processes, reconciliations, and wider finance operations. The business is values-driven, with a supportive culture and a genuine focus on making a positive impact.Responsibilities:Assist with month-end processes, journals, and intercompany reconciliationsRaising sales invoices, resolving queries, and credit controlRaising PO's, processing purchase invoices and producing monthly supplier payment runsBank reconciliationsProcessing staff expense claims and company credit card expensesVAT returnsSupport with end to end processing of payroll, including FPS, submitting pension contributions and being the first point of contact for employee queriesPartner with and work closely with other teams to support them with accurate financial informationTake ownership of all transactional finance for multiple entities, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and accuratelyContinuously assess and implement improvements to financial processes and systems for greater efficiency as the business growsSkills & Attributes:Ideally AAT Level 4 qualified or working towards3+ years experience in a similar role, with demonstrated ability to take ownership of itStrong understanding of accounting principlesExperience of Xero advantageousProactive & positive mindsetExcellent communication skillsDesire to learn
