Studio Manager roleRetail Design Agency45k-55k3 days a week in the studio (Kent)Our client is a retail design agency working with international clients including a large tech firm for over 20 years on Branded Program rollout across the world and other Creative projects.The company has a Studio Team that design and create artwork using various 2D and 3D software programs and a Project Management Team who work with clients and bring the briefs through to the Studio.Role OverviewThis is a newly created role and a great opportunity for a driven, motivated, experienced and exceptionally organised individual to join their fantastic, friendly team to help them reach their next level of growth.Coming from a Studio Management background the candidate will be responsible for managing a team of designers and ensuring the team resources are sufficient to deliver the work to their clients. The Studio Manager is ultimately responsible for timely delivery of all work with some of the traffic management being undertaken by other Designers in the team that report to the Studio Manager.Based in the Kent office and reporting to a Director the role involves working closely with the Designers and Project Managers to ensure the smooth flow of work and uniting the two teams.Main ResponsibilitiesManage, track and create visibility of all workflows through the agency at any given time.Ensure all teams are resourced appropriately and that stakeholder expectations are well managed and communicated.Identify any potential causes of delay early, and act to resolve any issues and help the teams troubleshoot where necessary.Meet regularly with the Studio Team and Project Management TeamMonitor the agency’s utilisation rate to maintain or improve the percentage of billable hoursWillingness to contribute ideas and help develop processes and ways of working to ensure efficiencyIn the future, developing a tried and trusted network of specialist freelancers required to work alongside internal teams, ensuring agency are working with the best talentSkillsOrganisational and project management skills to manage a high volume of quick delivery tasks.Be a proactive, flexible and energetic team player who can work calmly under pressure.Excellent communication and relationship building skills.The ability to manage conflicting opinions and resolve with the company’s best interests in mind, whilst maintaining strong relationships with all stakeholders.An understanding of the Creative processes and deliverables themselves.Self-motivated and flexible as this agency are trusted by their clients to work on various different projects at short notice.Excellent reporting skills with the ability to evaluate workflows, capacity, deliverables and service levels (Excel, FileMaker, client database).BenefitsCompany BonusHybrid working – 3 days in the office per weekParking paid for25+ days holiday (plus bank holidays)
