Job Title: Construction Support Apprentice Company: Sacyr UK and IrelandLocation: New Velindre Cancer Centre, Cardiff, WalesAs a Construction Support Apprentice, you’ll play a pivotal role in our mission to create a state-of-the-art cancer centre. Join our dynamic team and make a difference!The Construction Support Apprentice will assist the Technical Team by supporting the coordination, preparation, and review of technical project documentation, drawings, and records. The role focuses on providing support to both site and office-based teams with technical inputs and communication between stakeholders. If this sounds like you, and you can demonstrate the required skills and experience, we want to hear from you.Our Benefits:Inclusive work environment, Sunday Times Top 100 Employer 202434 days holidayEmployee Assistance ProgrammeFinancial, Emotional and Physical Wellbeing SupportOngoing professional development opportunitiesProfessional membership supportCompany pensionCycle to work schemeTech schemeEmployee discount schemeLanguage lessonsLife insuranceSick payWellness Your Way programmeAnnual Health ChecksSacyr Sports Club, and much more.Key Responsibilities include:Assist in the preparation, review, and coordination of technical documentation and drawings.Maintain project registers (e.g., RFIs, TQs, As-Builts).Help track design changes and ensure documentation is kept up to date.Assist in the review and quality control of information prior to site issue.Participate in reviewing and resolving site issues and observations via platforms such as Dalux.Support the preparation of technical submissions and schedules.Review received documents for completeness and coordinate with the Technical Team to raise discrepancies.Assist in tracking and resolving site queries and RFIs.Support interdepartmental communication to ensure technical compliance and proper information flow.Participate in project meetings, take notes, and assist in action tracking.Help prepare reports, presentations, and summaries as required by the team.Additional duties associated with the role as determined by the management.Essential CriteriaRight to work in the UKMinimum 4 GCSE’s at grades A – D, including Mathematics and English.Interested in Civil Engineering / Architecture / Construction / Built Environment or similar.Strong communication skills (written and verbal) across different stakeholders.Well-organised, proactive, and detail-oriented.Keen interest in engineering, architecture, construction, or technical coordination.Good analytical and problem-solving mindset.Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint).Good skills in the use of technical software (AutoCAD, Revit)Willingness to learn and develop in a collaborative team environment.Application Process: Please click to apply, we try to keep our process simple!
