POSITION OVERVIEW: Lead employees to ensure customer satisfaction by moving all shipments on time and damage-free. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Lead, manage, educate, and develop company employees with a focus on retention and growth. Supervise and direct employee work, including pre-shift activities, emphasizing quality, customer deliverables, and safety, and oversee improvements. Actively monitor, record, and educate employees on unsafe acts/conditions, correcting immediately with appropriate corrective actions, and provide feedback and follow-up. Plan daily manpower needs and set schedules to ensure timely, damage-free delivery and pickup of freight. Communicate job assignments clearly and coordinate with all employees. Monitor service freight and ensure compliance with cut time standards. Identify opportunities to reduce costs and improve efficiencies while maintaining safety standards. Assist customers with rate quotes, claim information, and appointment scheduling. Monitor performance data and gather information for reporting purposes. Build and maintain positive relationships with all business partners to meet service standards. Identify freight with incorrect weight or classification. Ensure all OS&D (Overages, Shortages, and Damages) are identified and processed properly. Perform administrative functions as required. Comply with all applicable laws, regulations, and company policies. Perform other duties as assigned. Strong organizational skills and multi-tasking ability. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Internet use. WORKING CONDITIONS: Dock environment with exposure to weather, fumes, dust, noise. Hours may vary based on operational needs. Frequent contact with service center personnel in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
