We are currently partnering with a Local Authority based in the West Midlands, who are recruiting for a Lead Contracts Solicitor to join their team on a temporary basis.Please make an application promptly if you are a good match for this role due to high levels of interest.This is a full-time position with a daily rate of circa. 600.00 per day via an umbrella company and the start date is subject to notice.Office presence will be required at least twice per week.Duties will include (but are not limited to):Managing a team of Solicitors handling a broad range of contracts and agreements on behalf of the Council, including business as usual supply contracts and agreementsAdvising on procurement matters, commercial contracts and subsidy controlEnsuring compliance with relevant legislation, regulation and policiesProviding advice on public procurement regulations and tendering processesLiaising with internal stakeholders and third-party clients in respect of contractual obligationsRequirements:Experience managing a team of LawyersExperience working within contracts law for a Local AuthorityRewards and Benefits:Hybrid working office presence required 2x per weekFlexible working daysWorking hours:37 hours per weekMonday Friday, flexible start/finish timesPlease note that you require recent experience to apply for this role.James Andrews is acting as an employment agency and business in relation to this role.At James Andrews Recruitment Solutions we try to respond to all applications personally, however, due to the high volume of applications this is not always possible.
