An exciting opportunity has arisen at our DP World Contract Logistics site for an experienced Inventory Manager to join our team in Stanford-le-Hope, Essex. This role is essential to ensuring high levels of inventory accuracy, operational efficiency, and customer satisfaction. You will lead the inventory team, manage control processes, and serve as the key escalation point for inventory-related issues. This is an on-site position, working Monday through Friday.Is this the role you are looking for If so read on for more details, and make sure to apply today.Location: DP World Contract Logistics, Stanford-le-Hope, EssexHours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, this will be a rotating shift pattern between the core hours of 6am and 10pmContract: PermanentHow You Will ContributeLead and manage the inventory team to maintain and improve efficiency and quality of work.Oversee all aspects of the Cycle Counting Program.Act as the first point of escalation for inventory accuracy and availability issues.Ensure all inventory-related customer complaints and queries are resolved within SLA.Provide internal and external inventory reports and metrics.Design, implement, and maintain work instructions and SOPs for the department.Identify and act on potential inventory control issues across departments.Collaborate with internal departments (e.g., Ports and Terminals) to meet inbound container plans.Support other DP World sites locally and internationally as required.Promote and demonstrate positive behaviours in line with DP Worlds values and safety standards.What You Will BringQualificationsExcellent communication and relationship-building skills in English (verbal and written).Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel, and warehouse management systems.High level of numeracy, literacy, and process thinking.Ability to define problems, collect data, and draw valid conclusions.ExperienceProven experience in inventory management or a similar role.SkillsAbility to work under pressure with changing priorities and deadlines.Flexibility to meet operational requirements.Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.Customer-focused mindset with a drive for continuous improvement.Ability to simplify complex processes and deliver practical solutions.CompensationDP World offers exciting and challenging roles within a growing international organization.
