Our client, a leading clothing retailer based in the West Midlands, is recruiting for a Senior Merchandiser to join their merchandising team on a permanent basis.All candidates should make sure to read the following job description and information carefully before applying.This is a full-time role with a salary of 38,000 to 45,000, depending on experience and is ideal for candidates looking to take commercial ownership of product planning and trading in a fast-paced fashion environment.Duties will include (but are not limited to):Leading pre-season planning, producing WSSI proposals and building KPI strategies with BuyingSigning off orders, managing ASP and margin planning across channelsDriving departmental range strategy, pricing, and promotional executionMonitoring WSSI, sales and intake across store and web channelsLeading monthly performance reviews, managing OTB and recommending trading actionsCollaborating with Buying, eCommerce and warehouse teams to optimise stock flow and availabilityManaging repeat buys, option planning and trading KPIsExperience required:Experience in merchandising at Merchandiser/Senior Merchandiser level, ideally in a fashion retail settingProven track record in WSSI management, margin control and sales forecastingCross-functional collaboration with Buying, Planning, and Distribution teamsSkills, knowledge and expertise required:Strong commercial acumen and analytical skillsAbility to influence at departmental levelDeep understanding of retail KPIs, option planning, markdown managementRewards and Benefits:Employee discountsOn-site parkingOpportunities for progression and broader category ownershipWorking hours:Full time, 37.5 hours per weekMonday Friday, 9am5pmPlease note that relevant merchandising experience and retail trading knowledge is required for this role.
