Do you want to Be A Part of something unique?We are a boutique lifestyle hotel based in the cultural, creative and trendy scene of Shoreditch and we are currently on the hunt for a dynamic and charismatic Shift EngineerOur team strives to be friendly, supportive and inclusive and we are always looking for people who live and breathe these values.Your role as a Shift Engineer...Carry out repairs and maintenance work as requested by the Maintenance Manager, ensuring that work is carried out safely, efficiently and with minimum disruption to guests and members of the public.Take receipt of deliveries and to store items or goods pertaining to Maintenance.Ensure that all effort is made to repair faults to rooms without delay to avoid any inconvenience to guests.Ensure that daily and weekly checks and PPM's is carried out and keep records as required.Carry out any other ad-hoc duties as required to meet the needs of the business.Performs and schedules routine Maintenance on all production machines and equipment (predictive and proactive maintenance).Upkeeps all maintenance records.Troubleshoots and repairs all defective equipment including dismantling of machine and installing of new or repaired parts.Listens for unusual sounds from machines or equipment to detect malfunction and discusses machine operation with supervisors or other maintenance workers.Maintains stock levels of wear parts and works with purchasing on reordering.Performs periodic safety and maintenance check on assigned equipment and documents those checks.Follows all company rules and policies.Follows all safety rules and quality standards.Work in the guest Bedrooms Public Areas, Events & Outlets carrying out the PRP and daily room maintenance programme as well as all legislative and Health and Safety requirements.To support the Maintenance Manager in his absence or on request controlling Contractors if required in the upkeep of All public, Guest, Events and Outlet Areas.Deadlines met and rooms to be given back to Front Office / HSK within the agreed timeAll work must be checked before being signed off when complete using the departmental procedure ensuring that both time and date are indicated.All H&S, Major or Guest related works must be brought to the attention of the Maintenance Manager and Rooms Division Director.You must liaise with the Rooms Division Director and Maintenance Manager to conduct random checks of work and standards.Your rewards..28 days holidays increasing with length of serviceDiscounted rates in Hilton hotels with Go Hilton team member and Friends & Family programAccess to Perks at Work with amazing discounts and collection of points on online storesCompany's PensionMeals on duty with e-vouchersDiscounts on F&B outletsAccess to Employee Assistance ProgramLife AssuranceRecommend a Friend SchemeMost importantly: Trainings to get started and continue to grow and loads of opportunities to progressA bit about you..Strong communication skills and the ability to easily multitask.Fluent English (verbal & written).Ability to prioritise tasks and effectively manage resources.Eye for detailRelevant Health and Safety KnowledgeBasic Plumbing and Painting skillsComputer Literacy SkillsAbout Curio Collection by Hilton HotelsHilton's Curio Collection brand appeals to travellers seeking one-of-a-kind discoveries and authentic experiences.
