Role: Cyber Threat Intelligence and Vulnerability LeadJob Title:Cyber Threat Intelligence and Vulnerability Lead Requisition ID:121483 Location:Leeds (this is a 100% office-based role due to project requirements) Grade:GG10 - GG11 Referral Bonus:£5,000 Role DescriptionBAE Systems has been contracted to operate and improve a dedicated Security Operations Centre (SOC) supporting a major UK Critical National Infrastructure (CNI) organization. The networks are primarily cloud-hosted, with numerous systems requiring protection. We aim to develop this SOC to be a benchmark of best practice, reflecting the significant threats faced. This role requires a minimum of DV clearance and reports to the Service Delivery Manager. ResponsibilitiesEnsure detection, triage, and reporting of potential cyber threats and vulnerabilities daily. Manage regular threat intelligence and vulnerability reports, meeting deadlines. Develop and review Priority Intelligence Requirements (PIRs) and collection plans to ensure relevance. Maintain high standards in all threat intelligence and vulnerability reports. Document and review processes regularly. Provide analysis, context, and predictions in deliverables. Assess and improve the maturity of client functions, implementing enhancements. Oversee personal development of the Threat Intelligence and Vulnerability team. Ensure timely completion of products during capacity constraints. RequirementsTechnical Skills5+ years in threat intelligence, vulnerability management, or cyber threat research. Experience in incident response and management. Expertise in threats related to government and CNI sectors. Strong open-source research skills. High proficiency with Windows, Linux, command-line tools, networking, and cloud platforms. Non-Technical SkillsBachelor's Degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or related field. Excellent communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences. Team-oriented, self-motivated, and capable of motivating others. Leadership and line management experience.
