Facilities Manager Location: Halstead, Essex Type: 12 Month Fixed Term ContractAre you a hands-on facilities professional with a passion for operational excellence in a manufacturing environment? Our client, a globally recognised brand within the premium FMCG space, is looking for a Facilities Manager to take ownership of site operations across their busy manufacturing location in Essex.The CompanyOur client is part of a globally renowned group, home to some of the UK's most iconic brands. With a rich heritage and a forward-thinking mindset, the business combines tradition with innovation to deliver high-quality products enjoyed by millions.This particular site plays a key role in the company's UK manufacturing operations, with a dedicated team focused on continuous improvement, safety, and sustainability.The RoleThis is a newly created role, responsible for the management of 12 on-site buildings – including manufacturing, warehouse, and office facilities. You'll be the go-to person for all things facilities, ensuring safe, compliant, and efficient environments that support production and business continuity.You'll manage vendor relationships, oversee lease agreements, drive safety and compliance efforts, and help plan for the future of the site's physical footprint.Key ResponsibilitiesManage daily maintenance and operations across multiple buildings on-siteLead on Health & Safety compliance in partnership with the H&S ManagerCoordinate vendor and contractor relationships for maintenance and equipmentReview and manage lease agreements, including handback processes when leases endSupport emergency planning, space optimisation, and facilities reportingProvide clear updates and insights to the Plant Manager and wider operations teamCollaborate cross-functionally to reduce downtime and maintain site standards.What We're Looking ForFacilities Management experience, ideally in a manufacturing, industrial, or logistics environmentUnderstanding of building compliance, H&S, and lease managementExperience working with external contractors and service providersExcellent communication and stakeholder management skillsFacilities Management or Safety Compliance certifications are a plusAbility to work independently, with high levels of ownership and accountabilityStrong organisation and reporting skillsInterested?
