My client is looking for someone to support the Strategic Finance Business Partner in providing financial support and assistance to the Councils solely owned local authorities. You will play a key role in providing financial insights and support to the various stakeholders.As the Finance Business Partner, you will support with the annual closure of accounts in accordance with IFRS. You will play a significant role in co-ordinating and preparing financial reports for the companys wholly owned by the council.Key responsibilities of the Finance Business PartnerSupport in the production and closure of accounts for council owned companysCo-ordinate and prepare financial reports for the council its companysDeliver financial insights, advice and accountancy support for a portfolio areaWork with senior stakeholders to prepare and monitor budgetsAct as a strategic advisor to managers to drive more informed decision makingParticipate in the councils ongoing cost reduction programmeRequired skills and experience of the Finance Business PartnerFully Qualified Accountant or working towards qualificationPrevious experience in a public sector finance roleKnowledge of accounting regulationsStrong communication skills, both verbal and writtenDemonstrable experience of constructing financial reportsCapable of managing a varied and demanding workloadThis is a fantastic opportunity to join this Norfolk based local authority.
