Contract Senior Civil Engineer - Central LondonOutside IR35 | £35-£40/hour | Design-Led Projects | Hybrid WorkingI'm supporting an award-winning, design-led civil and structural engineering consultancy in their search for an experiencedContract Senior Civil Engineerto join their central London team.This is an excellent opportunity for a capable, hands-on engineer to support a busy pipeline of high-quality development projects on a flexible,outside IR35basis. The consultancy is known for its creative, collaborative approach and strong partnerships with leading architects and developers.The Role:You'll work as part of a skilled civils team on a mix of urban development and refurbishment schemes, supporting both design and delivery. The role offers autonomy, variety, and the chance to make a meaningful impact on high-profile projects.Key Responsibilities:Design of drainage systems including SuDSSite-wide drainage and retrofit infrastructureDrainage Statements and Flood Risk Assessments (FRAs)Design of private roads to adoptable standardsLiaison with local authorities for S38, S278 approvalsVehicle tracking and swept path analysisTechnical modelling using Civil 3D, MicroDrainage (or InfoDrainage)What You'll Need:Minimum 5 years' UK experience in civil engineering consultancyStrong proficiency with Civil 3D, AutoCAD, and MicroDrainage (or equivalent)Experience working on residential/commercial development-led infrastructureGood communication skills and the ability to work with minimal supervisionA proactive, delivery-focused mindsetContract Details:Outside IR35£35-£40/hour (DOE)Hybrid working (central London office as needed)Initial 3-6 month contract with strong extension potentialImmediate start availableThis is a great fit for a contract civil engineer who enjoys working in a fast-paced, design-focused environment with minimal red tape and solid team support.Aldwych Consulting values and promotes equality.
