We are currently recruiting for a Laundry Operations Manager, and we are looking to hear from candidates who are positive, have a can-do attitude and have ambition to grow. The Role As a Laundry Operations Manager, you will be to ensure the seamless operational delivery of Hygiene and Laundry services, focusing on meeting and exceeding stringent technical standards, such as HTM 0104 and EN 14065 and effectively manage both departments by optimising workflows, ensuring compliance with Health and Safety Regulations, and maintaining high-quality operational standards. In addition to overseeing day-to-day operations, you will play a crucial role in implementing customer contracts, ensuring smooth transitions and the decommissioning of contracts when necessary with the support of the Hygiene manager. Your focus will be on delivering exceptional operational performance in laundry services and hygiene washroom facilities, enabling Sasse UK to maintain its position as a leader in the industry. Your commitment to compliance and operational excellence will be essential in sustaining our high standards and contributing to the overall success of Sasse UK. Key responsibilities include: Oversee daily laundry operations and hygiene washroom services, ensuring smooth and efficient service delivery. Lead and manage staff schedules, ensuring appropriate coverage during sickness and holidays. Support training and onboarding of new team members to meet operational standards. Coordinate recruitment activities by drafting job adverts, screening candidates, and participating in interviews alongside the Hygiene Manager and operations team. Conduct quality checks to ensure laundered items and hygiene services consistently meet required standards. Monitor inventory of detergents, chemicals, and hygiene supplies, placing timely orders and maintaining cost control within departmental budgets. Support the Hygiene Manager in addressing customer enquiries and complaints, helping to resolve service issues promptly and effectively. Keep accurate records related to laundry operations, service logs, inventory, and production data to support monthly reporting. Assist in managing operational budgets by tracking expenses and working in line with financial guidance provided by the Hygiene and Senior Operations Managers. Schedule and oversee regular maintenance for laundry equipment, service tools, and fleet vehicles, ensuring legal and company compliance. Identify opportunities for process improvement in laundry and hygiene operations, implementing changes that improve efficiency and reduce costs. Ensure compliance with Health & Safety regulations, including risk assessments and safe handling of sharps, clinical, and hazardous waste. Coordinate with different departments to ensure operations are aligned and focused on common objectives. Assist with specific projects related to both laundry and hygiene services, including new business & decommissioning of contracts, Innovation & upgrades, or strategic planning. Implement eco-friendly practices within operations to promote waste reduction and energy efficiency. Essential Requirements: Experience in a customer facing role, with a proven track record of building client relationships. Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and communicate effectively across teams. Commercial awareness. Excellent presentation skills. Excellent knowledge of IT programmes such as MS Office /365. Willingness to travel and stay away from home as required by the contract. Valid driver's license (category B). ILM Level 3 or equivalent qualification is desirable, or a minimum of 2 years' experience in a supervisory or leadership role. Must be eligible for and obtain NPPV National security clearance (will be paid for by the company) as a condition of passing probation.
