Overview of the PositionAs a Machinist, you will be part of a skilled team manufacturing high-quality timber frames and doors for the construction and service industries. This is a permanent, full-time role. Key Duties and ResponsibilitiesSet up and operate various machines within the Production Manufacturing departments (saws, spindles, moulder, etc.). Follow production schedules to meet targets. Communicate stock requirements for upcoming jobs. Ensure quality standards are maintained. Complete all paperwork according to Quality Management Systems. Assist in process improvements and efficiencies. Maintain a clean and safe working environment. Operate required hand tools. Perform other duties as assigned. The Person / ExperienceQualified in NVQ Level 2 / 3 in Carpentry / Joinery (preferred). Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a joinery/manufacturing environment (preferred). Ability to interpret and read workshop/design drawings. Knowledge of timber. Ability to set up workpieces and tools. Strong leadership, organisational, and communication skills. Previous manufacturing experience. Attention to detail, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and determination. High initiative and self-motivation.
