We are now inviting applications for the position of Assistant Manager at Centra Carrickfergus (Clipperstown). The role is full-time, 37.5 hours, permanent. The successful candidate must be flexible to work days, evenings, and weekends. This role will have an agreed shift pattern within store opening hours. Shortlisted candidates will have the opportunity to discuss working hours and shift patterns further during the interview. Candidates must be able to travel to the store via car, public transport, or other means to fulfill shift requirements. The Role To work closely with the Store Manager in the daily operation of the store. The successful candidate will ensure that all colleagues and assets are engaged and managed to deliver a profitable store. Additionally, you will deputize in the absence of the store manager when required. Responsibilities Support the store manager in delivering store KPIs. Assist in maximizing store sales and profitability. Maintain high store standards in line with audits. Assist with stock take preparation and use action plans to improve results. Lead by example in food safety, health and safety, and compliance to create a safe working environment. Promote excellent customer service. Manage social media to drive store sales. Oversee store ordering to ensure product availability. Support team management tasks such as rostering, return to work interviews, investigations, recruitment, training, appraisals, and performance management, ensuring compliance with employment policies. Engage with store colleagues, the local community, and charity partners. Potentially cover post office and cash duties with appropriate training. What’s in it for you?
