Streamline Recruitment are working in partnership with a fantastic client based in Tilbury, who specialise in Timber, Paper and Commodities. Due to continued growth, they are looking to appoint a Transport Planner to join their team. As the Transport Planner, your main role will be to manage drivers on a daily basis, planning deliveries, looking after compliance/documentation and overseeing client requirements. Key duties will include: * Plan and schedule daily transport routes to ensure timely and cost-effective deliveries * Monitor driver performance and vehicle locations using GPS tracking systems * Liaise with drivers, customers, and warehouse teams to coordinate transport activities * Respond to delivery issues or delays, providing real-time solutions and updates * Ensure compliance with transport regulations, including driver hours and vehicle maintenance * Prepare transport documentation, including manifests, delivery notes, and compliance records * Analyse route efficiency and suggest improvements to reduce fuel usage and journey times * Maintain accurate records of transport operations for reporting and audits * Work with subcontractors and third-party hauliers when needed * Support the wider logistics team during peak periods or staff absence This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is looking to join a fantastic team, with progression plans. Essential Requirements: * Transport Planning experience in HGV * Knowledge of driver working hours, compliance and regulatory requirements.
