Belmont Recruitment are currently looking for a Health & Safety Advisor to join Sefton Council's Risk and Audit Team on a 9 month temporary contract. This is a full-time role working 37 hours per week. Key Responsibilities: * Provide professional advice and guidance on a wide range of health and safety issues * Conduct audits, inspections and compliance reviews across Council premises and schools * Support investigations into incidents, including RIDDOR reports, and recommend improvements * Assist in the development and communication of health and safety policies, training, and procedures * Monitor incident trends and contribute to performance reports for key committees * Support school safety services under the SLA, including review of overseas trips via the EVOLVE system * Liaise with enforcement bodies and manage risk around asbestos, legionella, fire, gas, and electrical safety About you: * NEBOSH Diploma (or equivalent) * Certified Membership of IOSH (CMIOSH desirable) * Experience in health and safety within large, complex organisations * Strong communication skills and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively * Driving licence and access to a vehicle If this role would be of interest to you, please apply with an up to date CV as soon as possible
