This is an ideal role for a recent graduate who is considering a career in teaching, SEN support, or youth work, providing invaluable hands-on experience within a specialist educational setting. Key Responsibilities: Supporting the delivery of engaging PE lessons and sports activities, adapting sessions to meet the specific needs of students with SEN. Leading and assisting with extra-curricular sports clubs and activities. Encouraging student participation, fostering teamwork, and promoting a healthy, active lifestyle. Using sports as a tool to develop students' social, emotional, and communication skills. Working 1:1 and in small groups to provide targeted support and behaviour management strategies. Assisting classroom teachers and SEN staff with general classroom duties and student support. Out door education and Dofe. Monitoring and reporting on student progress and engagement in sports and physical activity.The Ideal Candidate: A recent graduate with a degree in Sports Science, Physical Education, Coaching, or a related field. A genuine passion for sports and its positive impact on young people. Experience (formal or informal, e.g., coaching, volunteering) working with children or young people, particularly those with Special Educational Needs (SEN), is highly desirable. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport quickly.
