Job Title: Painter Sprayer x 2 Start date: ASAP Department: Production / Finishing Reports To: Production First Line Manager Location: Oxfordshire Paint Team shift pattern: Week 1 Shift 1 Monday to Thursday 06.00am to 2.45pm Week 2 Shift 2 Monday to Thursday 10.15am to 7.00pm Week 3 Shift Friday 08.00am to 1.00pm 38 hours per week You must work a full week in a shift pattern Overtime: 1.5x weekends & in the week Temp to Perm: 12 weeks temporary, after 12 weeks you will become a permanent member of staff. Hourly pay rate: £Competitive hourly (PAYE) across all 3 shifts. Purpose of Post Responsible for spray painting buses, to a high-quality finish, in line with customer specifications. Key Tasks: • Responsible for the marking out and spraying of Basecoat and Direct gloss colours. • Responsible for any touch up repairs and small paint repairs, prior to sign-off and vehicle delivery. • Responsible for assisting paint preparation i.e., marking up vehicles prior to paint. • Responsible for the safe operation of plant, equipment and/or hand tools associated with the paint- preparation & paint processes. • Responsible for compliance with the company's Health and Safety policy procedures. • Responsible for undertaking training or retraining associated with the post or the introduction of new working practices. • Undertake any other duties conducive with the effective operation of the post. Role Overview: Spray painting Hydrogen and Battery Powered buses using 2Pak and Pressure pot paints. Safe operation of spray painting equipment and/or hand tools associated with the manufacture of the buses. Moving between several distinct operations whilst maintaining high quality workmanship and overall efficiency. Requirements: 1. Minimum Level 2 Qualification in spray painting or equivalent. 2. Previous spray painting experience is essential – Minimum 3-4 years experience.
