Rushlift provides impartial advice to enable customers to maximise the effectiveness of their industrial equipment fleet, through either long-term hire contracts or servicing and repair arrangements.By combining Rushlift’s expertise in hiring and mobile servicing of equipment with the expertise in GSE of the former American Airlines team, Rushlift GSE is able to offer a comprehensive service across a number of UK airports, offering long-term rental of a comprehensive range of aviation ground support equipment.About the roleThe Operations Manager role will lead and manage the operational teams to work efficiently and in a safe manner to achieve a sustainable revenue income to meet the planned targets. Management of all service standards across all sites. Responsible for all preplanning of engineer and workshop resource to ensure all available work has been accounted for and planned accordingly.Your key responsibilities will include:Manage and be responsible for Workshop Manager outputs and engage fully to instigate improvements in business results and speed of repairManage and be responsible for the preplanning and distribution of resource to maximise the benefit to the business. Manage and be responsible for workshop and colleague performance to meet company standard and continuous improvementsCarry out monthly audits of the workshops to ensure the units are compliant with legislation and airport license regulations and Safety at work requirementsManage the station budget and be responsible for any deviations. Be able to provide detailed reports to support spend and chargeable revenueManage the production of weekly and monthly management reports as and when requiredProvide an active role in GSE purchase to ensure correct specifications at all times.Manage station employee engagement, provide effective performance management with evidence to support the feedbackResponsible and accountable for all station recruitment, working with recruitment and HR to best effect.Champion the use of new technology providing a safe environment for colleagues to learn and feel safe.Manage all communication within the station, responsible for holding monthly “Town Hall” employee forums and feeding back any concerns to the Operations directorResponsible for managing customer expectations and providing timely feedback to allow them to utilise their GSE effectivelyManagement of the Administration functions and responsible for all outputs.What we are looking for:Demonstrable experience as a GSE Operations manager in the Aviation industry or equivalent.Experience in managing GSE Workshop is desirable.Experience preferred within Aviation Ground handling, Ground Support Equipment.Experience with managing a team and working within budgets.Thorough understanding of the equipment leasing processes.Ability to multitask and work to tight deadlines.Good working knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite skills.Ability to provide detailed analysis and action plan, using data to drive performance.Ability to manage several sites, possibly remotely.What we offer:Competitive Salary PackageAnnual BonusContributory Pension SchemeEnhanced Parental PoliciesLife AssuranceOn site parkingEmployee Welfare Scheme – Vouchers for birthdays/weddings/children/studies/long service etc; and Employee Assistance Programme giving you access to Retail/Health/Gym discounts, confidential counselling and advice, Cycle2Work Scheme, and much more….What Happens Next?Once you have completed your application, our People Team will initially consider your skills and experience based on your CV and application.
