About the Company - Blanchards Law is expanding! We are seeking an experienced Senior Wills & Probate Solicitor to establish and lead our new Wills & Probate department. This is a unique opportunity to shape and grow a key practice area within our thriving firm. We are particularly looking for someone with expertise in contested probate to drive this specialised area forward.About the Role - What We’re Looking For:Proven experience in building or managing a Wills & Probate departmentStrong technical expertise in wills, probate, estate planning, and administrationA strategic mindset with the ability to develop and grow this departmentExcellent client management and leadership skillsResponsibilities - Responsibilities will include establishing and leading the Wills & Probate department, managing wills, probate, estate planning, and administration, developing and growing the practice, and providing excellent client management and leadership.QualificationsRequired SkillsProven experience in building or managing a Wills & Probate department, strong technical expertise in wills, probate, estate planning, and administration, a strategic mindset with the ability to develop and grow the practice, excellent client management and leadership skills.Strong experience in probate applications, inheritance tax planning, and estate administrationExpertise in Contested ProbateExpertise in drafting wills, LPAs, and handling contentious probate mattersFamiliarity with Court of Protection workAbility to mentor junior solicitors and build a successful teamPreferred SkillsSTEP qualification or working towards itExperience with trust creation and managementStrong network and business development skillsKnowledge of digital assets and modern estate planning strategiesCompensation:Blanchards Law is committed to attracting top talent, and we recognise the importance of offering competitive compensation packages to our team members.The final compensation package will be negotiated based on the candidate's experience, skills, and alignment with the firm's values.
